Pence vs. Kaine: VP Debate Gets Heated

Viewers expecting a tamer tone in the first and only vice presidential debate on Tuesday night were treated to a tumultuous tête-à-tête mirroring the confrontation between the presidential running mates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Both Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and Virginia Sen. Time Kaine showed up to Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia, with claws out.

The interruptions were so frequent that CBS News moderator Elaine Quijano had to intervene a number of times.
