11th Annual Fort Myers Beach Pirate Festival

Sat., Oct. 8 & Sun., Oct. 9
10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Times Square, Old San Carlos Boulevard, Fort Myers Beach

This family-friendly event attracts thousands to enjoy the pirate bazaar, themed live music and performances, live ship battles, children’s activities, and a pub quest for the 21-and-over crowd. A $5 donation gets ages 12+ into the fun. For more info, visit fmbpiratefest.com.

Cops & Joggers 5K & Fun Night

Sat., Oct. 8
5-10 p.m.
Centennial Park, 2000 W. First St., downtown Fort Myers

The annual Cops & Joggers 5K begins at 7:45 and wraps up with a celebration at Centennial Park. There will be food, vendors, police equipment displays, music and a kid’s fun area. Proceeds benefit the Fallen Officers Memorial Fund.

SWFL Pride Fest

Sat., Oct. 8, noon-7 p.m.
Sun., Oct. 9, 2-7 p.m.
Alliance for the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers

The theme of this year’s LGBT Pride event is “Equality needs YOU,” with food, dancing and more. Sunday’s event continues with dancing at Celsius Nightclub, 2213 Main St., downtown Fort Myers.
